K-drama actor Kim Ji Soo is currently in the Philippines, preparing for a slate of exciting TV and movie projects. Among the most eagerly awaited is the family drama “Mujigae,” where Ji Soo will star alongside Kapamilya actress Alexa Ilacad.
The film, which has already generated buzz on social media, was recently posted in a teaser shared by CinemaBravo. The teaser reveals a glimpse into the story.

The teaser, posted on Instagram, includes a caption that reads, “This family drama stars Alexa Ilacad, K-drama actor Kim Ji Soo, and introduces child star Ryrie Turingan, with a special participation by Rufa Mae Quinto.”
The film is produced by UXS, with Mark Raywin Tome penning the script and Randolph Longjas at the helm as director. Fans can look forward to seeing the film exclusively in SM Cinemas starting Oct. 9.
ADVERTISEMENTJoining the “Black Rider” cast and Ilacad in this project is young star Ryrie Turingan, who will take on the titular role of Mujigae. Additionally, renowned comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto will make a special appearance, along with Lito Pimentel, further adding depth to the film’s cast.
Before the teaser’s release, Quinto took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes moments from the film’s story conference, enthusiastically expressing her excitement for the project.
“Anyeong… umabot na tayo sa South Korea international movie sa isang magandang blessing na naman ito. Todo na ‘to!” she enthused. “Abangan this October 2024!”
While Kim Ji Soo continues his creative journey in the Philippines, he has also been addressing past controversies. In a recent statement, he clarified allegations from his school years.
“I’ve been able to clear up misunderstandings with the friends involved. We talked and reconciled, and I am now focused on moving forward with my life and career,” Ji Soo shared with Korean media outlet Sports Chosun. He emphasized that all sexual assault allegations were false and that he has since received apologies for the misunderstandings.
